I will proclaim the name of the Lord.  Oh, praise the greatness of our God!  He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just.  A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.
Deut 32:3-4

I'm back home, and the canoe trip was a success.  I loved it and had a great time with everyone that went.  If you want to hear some funny stories, just ask me or Kelly.  We had a few adventures- going down the wrong side of the rapids, going over the top of another canoe, getting stuck on rocks......  It was so good to see God working in the heart's of everyone that went.  It was very encouraging.  It was nice to just get away from every day life, and take in the beauty of God's creation while floating down the river, playing games in the woods, and staring at all of the stars at night while singing praises to God.  Well, i have a week to recover and relax before i leave again this Saturday to go down to New Orleans to help clean up the damage from the hurricane.  I am excited to see how God will work in this upcoming trip.

I must realize that my obedience even in the smallest detail of life has all of the omnipotent power of the grace of God behind it.  -Oswald Chambers

Well, God is good!  It always amazes me how spending time reading His word and praying can just calm my heart and reassure me that he has everything under control.  There is a middle school pool party tonight.  All of you middle schoolers better be there, cause i miss seeing all of you!  I am getting excited for the canoe trip.  I think it will be a great chance to just get away, have fun, build relationships, and grow spiritually.  I just pray that God would provide me with lots of energy and patience for it!  Well, I hope that everyone is having a wonderful summer, and is taking time to relax and spend time with God.  Adios

"Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.  Honor one another above yourselves.  Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord."

You are the light of the world.  A city on a hill cannot be hidden.  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.  Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.  Matthew 5:14-16
